Jura Machines (& Other Super-Automatic Espresso Machines)
Jura machines are high-tech and self-cleaning, but they still need some love. Never use traditional descaling solutions on a Jura—it has its own cleaning cycles designed for its internal components.
🧼 Daily Care:
- Rinse the drip tray and coffee grounds container to prevent buildup.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Run a rinse cycle after making milk-based drinks to keep milk lines clean.
🛠 Weekly Care:
- Use a Jura cleaning tablet in the cleaning cycle to remove coffee oils.
- Clean the milk system with Jura’s milk cleaning solution (or soak the milk tube in warm, soapy water).
- Check the water filter—if it’s clogged, replace it.
🔧 Monthly / As Needed:
- Replace the water filter (as recommended by Jura).
- Deep clean the milk system to prevent bacteria buildup.
- Wipe out the inside of the machine (grounds and dust can collect inside).
🚨 Pro Tip: Always use filtered or soft water to reduce scale buildup.
